A extremely decorative large pair of carved wall panels. These panels are well carved with lots of detail, showing one male and one female figure. The carving is elaborate with depth, intricate curling foliage and minute detail such as the males hair and beard and the females wings and clawed feet. There are three lion cubs, their fur and faces clear and characterful. The Female is possibly a attribute to Gilgamesh Ishta - Queen of the night or Lilith. According to Mesopotamian mythology she is the Goddess of love, fertility and sex. The male is likely to be Gilgamesh, hero of the ancient world.
