Hand Built Ceramic Sculpture, "Black Coal". A composite of hollow, elongated, pointed oval or elliptical shapes, individually hand-formed clay parts, attached together and fused during the firing. This is a dark stoneware with a black underglaze revealing all the scrapes and marks of the clay underneath.
