This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an S-scroll handle ornamented with scrolling terminals and thumbpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three piece condiment/cruet set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle. The exceptional mustard pot is fitted with the original domed hinged cover, surmounted with baluster shaped finial. These condiment shakers each retain the original domed hallmarked push fit cover ornamented with pierced decoration.
