An exceptional, fine and impressive set of three antique Georgian English sterling silver dinner plates/second course dishes, an addition to our range of collectable dining silverware. These exceptional antique George II sterling silver dinner plates/second course dishes has a circular shaped form. The raised border is embellished with an impressive bright cut engraved marital coat of arms incorporating the motto 'Tria juncta in uno', three joined in one. The rim of each antique second course dish is encircled with a Fine and impressive applied gadroon decorated border accented with alternating scrolling leaf designs. The circular well of each plate is plain and unembellished. The underside of each plate retains the silversmith's center punch mark in addition to the original item numbers 9, 10 and 12 and the original scratch weight of 32 troy ounces and 4 pennyweights (32.2 troy ounces), as to be expected the measured weight has subtly diminished in keeping with age to 29.9 troy ounces. Larger second course dishes such as these are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. These pieces are a segment of a more extensive table service incorporating dishes, trays and platters; through time the service will have been divided. An exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of vintage English cast sterling silver and enamel salt and pepper set, in the form of a soft boiled egg in an egg holder - boxed; an addition to our silver cruets or condiments collection. These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver condiment set consists of a salt Shaker, a pepper Shaker and two spoons. The pieces of this silver and enamel salt and pepper set have been realistically modelled in the form of soft boiled eggs in egg cups. Each condiment Shaker is ornamented with an enamel eggshell design with the top portion 'cracked' away to reveal the pierced salt and pepper holes; the upper portion of the pepper retains the original gilding. The enamel and silver egg covers detach from a bayonet style fitment to a brown enamel decorated egg cup; once the cover is removed it can be determined the pieces were commissioned to be used as functional egg cups. The spoons have circular rounded bowls to plain waisted stems and terminate with cast finials encircled with scalloped borders and circular motifs, accented with initial 'M' to one and 'N' to the other. These vintage silver and enamel salt and pepper set are fitted to the original hinged crimson leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and secures with two hinged catches. A very good vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver caddy spoon modelled in the form of a jockey cap; an addition to our diverse teaware collection. This vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver caddy spoon is realistically modelled in the form of a jockey cap; the design is based on an original George III jockey cap style caddy spoon. The outer surface of the cap is encircled with embossed panels of ribbed decoration accented with stylised husk pendant drops. The peak of the cap is embellished with embossed star, bead and octofoil motif decoration on a ribbed background incorporating a vacant shield shaped cartouche. This unusual vintage silver caddy spoon will sit on either the convex or concave side of the bowl. Condition This vintage caddy spoon is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The embossed decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rear of the bowl are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of vintage silverware. A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver teapot in the Queen Anne style, an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain panelled octagonal form onto a spreading stepped octagonal collet style foot, all in the Queen Anne style. The surface of the Queen Anne teapot is plain and unembellished. This antique teapot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed panelled cover surmounted with an impressive sterling silver urn style finial. This fine Queen Anne sterling silver teapot is fitted with the original shaped carved painted wood handle with a carved scroll style thumbpiece, scrolling lower terminal and plain sterling silver sockets. The teapot has a panelled swan necked spout, ornamented with a chased decorated scrolling design to the lip. This impressive example of antique silverware bears the retailer's mark / icon of James Dixon to the underside.
