Seattle 'World's Fair' Bamboo Lamp with Parasol Shade by Christopher Tennant
Located in Brooklyn, NY
The World’s Fair Collection is a family of fixtures handmade from sustainably sourced materials and upcycled antique paper parasols given to visitors at the 20th century’s most illustrious cultural expo. Model No. 002 features a rice-paper shade constructed from a vintage souvenir parasol handed out at the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. It sits atop a lacquered bamboo column with a hand-painted, rattan-and-leather handle, and a painted coiled-seagrass base. Brass fittings, tan leather accents, and a cloth-covered cord complete the modernist profile. Limited edition of 3. One in stock and ready to ship. Handmade in New York by artist Christopher Tennant...
