Contemporary mouth-blown crystal glass pendant - Shibari by Katerina Handlová for Bomma.
Shibari is not simply the technique of tying objects with ropes, but a method of communication within hidden systems of lines and loops. In Japanese it’s called Kinbaku: the beauty of tight binding. This sophisticated collection places crystal centerpieces amidst the knots to draw our attention and create variable compositions. Thanks to BOMMA’s daring design, Shibari may be considered a work of art, whether as a stand-alone piece or in a grouping that resembles a sculpture.

Our designed-to- purpose technology lends itself to otherwise unachievable customization and color-blending.

Katerina Handlová is a graduate of the Atelier of glass at AAAD Prague (Academy of Arts Prague). She combines glass with different materials such as leather, ropes or porcelain to create objects that mediate her personal experiences as well as her fascination with world of Haute Couture.
