The “Nearness I” table lamp, designed by Alba Abiad in collaboration with Naveen Jose, is a hand-carved masterpiece made from a single block of Makrana marble with a natural stone base. Each piece is carefully handpicked and handcrafted, belonging to a unique collectible collection inspired by celestial bodies.
This sculptural lamp evokes a fragment of a stone landscape, removed from its original context yet retaining the essence of its source. Through meticulous carving, the material’s inherent heaviness and opacity are transformed into an ethereal sense of lightness and transparency. The integrated light reveals the authentic character of the marble, offering the viewer a connection to the cosmic landscape it represents.
