A gorgeous and rare table lamp model 'Phönix' (engl. 'Phoenix') no. 1197 by J.T. Kalmar, Vienna, manufactured in midcentury, circa 1960 (late 1950s or 1960s). The light is documented in the Kalmar catalogue from 1953 as well as 1960. It is made of a solid brass stand and a walnut handle. The fixture has a socket for a medium or standard screw base light bulb. It is rewired and the lampshade is renewed. It is in very good condition with little patina on brass and ready to use. There will be variation. Our vanilla bean glaze is a semi-matte, almost satin finished white glaze with specs that remind us of vanilla bean ice-cream. Because this is a drippy glaze we dip the bottom of the lamp a few inches up with our snowflake to catch the drip. Our oyster glaze is a beautifully neutral cream colored gloss glaze that is quite drippy. You may see some layering drips and the bottom is dipped a few inches up with our glossy white glaze to keep the cream glaze from hitting the kiln shelf.
