Hand-carved from White Marble with a repeating Lehariya chevron motif, this globe lamp illuminates through the carved stone surface. Unlit, the piece reads as a sculptural object; lit, the marble becomes translucent and the carved pattern projects into the room. Suitable as a floor lamp, globe light, sphere light, garden light, outdoor light, or illuminated sculpture. The form integrates naturally into Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, and Contemporary interiors.
The globe is carved from solid White Marble. Each hemisphere is first lathe-turned to achieve the spherical form before the Lehariya pattern is marked and carved by hand across the surface. The chevron motif is worked in consistent relief and continues uninterrupted around the globe. The stone is hand-finished and polished after carving is completed.
Available in 18" and 16"dia versions. The piece functions as a floor lamp, globe light, sphere light, garden light, outdoor light, landscape lighting...
