This a large imposing chandelier, it features a combination of classic gas-lighting aesthetics mixed with fluid organic accents characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement. The prominent lower centerpiece features a large frosted glass bowl/dome detailed with textured patterns, the upper section outfitted with specialized flame-style frosted glass shades on the main vertical pillars alongside ruffled floral/tulip down-shades on the outer scrolling arms. The long central brass tube suggest that it might have been originally a gasolier. The main structure is a chiseled solid brass and gilt bronze frame decorated with stylized scrollwork and organic vines. The scrolling arms are applied with stylised acanthus.
