Little Petra & Pouf in Sahara Sheepskin & Walnut by Viggo Boesen for & Tradition
By Viggo Boesen
Located in Dubai, AE
Initially introduced back in 1938, Little Petra won instant praise at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition, subsequently winning awards at exhibits in New York and Berlin. It’s one of just a few designs by architect Viggo Boesen, who became associated with Denmark’s signature design aesthetic in the 1930s called funkis style. Little Petra is surprisingly petite, able to fit into all kinds of spaces, interiors and environments. Low to the ground, open and embracing, it embodies the essence of a lounge chair, allowing for all kinds of seating positions in any cosy setting imaginable. Designer Viggo Boesen A pioneer of his time, Viggo Boesen (1907 – 1985) made grand gestures in the world of Danish design and architecture, bringing a new perspective to the forefront of the collective imagination throughout the 1930s. His work reflected a new Scandinavian ‘Funkis’ style, a Nordic take on Art Deco, which was popular during the time and brought with it an array of surprising forms and silhouettes. For the Pouf, it's soft and nurturing, an ideal companion. With sheepskin and rounded legs in oiled walnut, it lends an organic warmth to any interior. Pair with the Little Petra for an elegant lounge seating arrangement. Material: sheep skin 17 mm sahara, oiled walnut Dimensions: Little Petra VB1 lounge chair...

Mottled Side Table by Donatas Zukauskas
By Donatas Žukauskas
Located in Geneve, CH
Mottled Side Table by Kasanai Dimensions: D 46 x H 61 cm. Materials: Concrete, recycled cardboard, glue, paint. 6 kg. The fusion of sturdiness and elegance, along with the blend of archaism and modernity. More than just a surface for placing objects, these tables are functional pieces of art that effortlessly become focal points within any room. Cardboard as the main component may come as a surprise, as paper is generally perceived as delicate. However, through careful experimentation and integration of other materials: cement, glue, paint, the resulting mixture acquires the desired properties of wood. The material acquires a natural texture and strength, ensuring its durability and longevity. The resulting material not only imitates the strength of wood, but also has a natural texture reminiscent of its organic counterpart. This texture adds a tactile dimension to the tables and provides a sensory experience that combines visual appeal with pleasant touch. Donatas Žukauskas...
