Wooden Coffee Table, Fishes Series 14 by Joel Escalona
By Joel Escalona
Located in Ciudad de México, CDMX
Fishes is a series of sculptural coffee tables inspired by the famous Fish (1930) sculpture of Rumanian artist Constantin Brancusi. Brancusi's work has been widely regarded as a masterpiece of modern art, and his Fish sculpture remain an iconic symbol of his artistic vision. The Fishes Coffee Tables series is a tribute to Brancusi's mastery of creating a sense of tranquility and serenity. Each coffee table in this collection is meticulously shaped from natural finish or black-tinted oak wood or walnut. The design process for the Fishes Coffee Tables collection was deeply stimulated by Brancusi's Fish sculpture, with each coffee table featuring soft and rounded forms that capture the fluidity and motion of aquatic life with simplicity and elegance. The sculptural forms of the Fishes Coffee Tables by NONO Furniture reflect this aesthetic, evoking a sense of quietness and stillness. The natural beauty and rich texture of oak and walnut create a warm and inviting atmosphere that is both elegant and sophisticated, making the Fishes Coffee Tables collection a perfect addition to any home decor. Each coffee table in the Fishes Series...

Mexican Dia De Los Muertos Day of the Dead La Catrina Folk Art Figure Sculpture
Located in Studio City, CA
A quite wonderful Mexican Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos festival held throughout Mexico) La Catrina symbolic skeleton figure. La Catrina is the festival’s most recognizable image/figure. She is the model of a high-society woman who has met Death, her maker. She represents something between the fear induced by her skeletal form and the revelry exhibited by the comical way she is typically portrayed, making her a perfect symbol of the Mexican holiday. She often appears in paintings, window displays, and costumes all around Mexico during the Day of the Dead festivities. La Catrina was originally conceived in the early 1900s by newspaper illustrator and printmaker José Guadalupe Posada...

Leonardo Nierman's paintings vibrantly come to life as they capture the intensity and spontaneity of the dynamic forces that rule both nature and the cosmos. With swirling whirlpools of color, darting flame-like wisps, and brilliant hues as dazzling as a sun, they are dramatic in their representation of that which is unchallenged, though perhaps not quite understood.
