This is a lovely set of fourteen antique Victorian solid mahogany "Athenian" design dining chairs, Circa 1870 in date.
The top rails, sides and central splats feature beautfully carved geometric designs and the chairs are raised on turned and reeded front legs legs that terminate in brass and brown porcelain castors.
We have just reupholstered the chairs in a sumptuous Moore & Giles tan leather with individual brass studs.

The botanical name for the mahogany these chairs are made of is Swietenia Macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation.
