A distinctive pair of French side chairs dating from the 1940s, crafted in solid oak and retaining their beautifully handwoven natural rush seats and backrests. The chairs are particularly notable for their highly decorative construction. The handwoven rush backrests are especially attractive, featuring an unusual geometric composition with a central vertical woven band, horizontal wrapping and a small arched opening at the top.
