About the Item
The simplicity of this Benjamin Goodison console is what sets it apart from most of Goodison’s work. The free-flowing design of the c-scroll legs with delicate foliate carving and fish scale recess is very typical of his work and, although not fussy in design, it still resonates an air of style and design. The legs support a simplistic Vitruvian scroll frieze with finely carved lion mask, central carving and foliate trailing carved swags.
