An exceptionally rare and most unusual, period Parisian rolling metal and brass tiered side cabinet / nightstand table / gallery pedestal / work stand. Born in Paris, France in the early 20th century, strong and heavy Industrial style, finished in an Art Deco Moderne taste.
Very stylish, strong and substantial, the fine antique, circa 1910s-1920s, is of excellent quality, craftsmanship and construction, boasts an exceptionally executed design that's both artistic, functional, and utilitarian, with clean, simple lines, contrasting against complex luxurious materials. Having a square blanc white gray veined marble top and medial stretcher shelf, joining four richly patinated polished brass squared vertical supports; affixed to and adding to the open, airy minimalist silhouette, a floating box style single door metal cabinet lower section affixed by set of small shaped machined bracket building elements, over molded edge, terminating on original porcelain casters.
A truly rare and wonderful example, that presents very well, as strong, sturdy and structurally sound as the day it was new.
Refined, elegantly sophisticated design and distinctive structural form, creating a splash of color with later slate blue paint topped with protective lacquer finish, adding elements of comfortable warmth, historic depth and rich, antique rustic character.
Versatile, flexible and decorative, whether as a simple end table, tiered etegere display, desert trolley...
