Transitional Style Guéridon by Maison Millet

About the Item

A fine transitional style gilt bronze mounted guéridon with a Breccia marble top, by Maison Millet. The reverse of the gilt bronze stamped 'MB' for Maison Millet. The table has a circular marble top within a pierced gallery above a frieze fitted with a single drawer. It is raised on fluted supports, each surmounted by a floral garland and united by a circular undertier. The cabriole legs are each headed by a gilt bronze foliate mounts and terminate in paw cast sabots. French, circa 1880.
