The main body is cast aluminium and the tube is formed from glass which is appx 1/2 inch thick and is also flame proof.  There are serial numbers and makers marks throughout. The two brackets on the top are where you would connect the chain, installation would require two ceiling hooks, or it can be wall-mounted, they look great when mounted vertically and the IP55 rating makes them suitable for bathrooms, kitchens wet zones etc. These lights work really well above pool / Snooker tables...
