BISEL Dining Table, by Patricia Urquiola for Glass Italia
By Glas Italia, Patricia Urquiola
Located in Macherio, IT
Collection of high tables, low tables and console, made in multi-layered and multichromatic glass, created by laminating five slabs of 5mm extralight glass each with a different colored film. The obtained glass sheets are in different shapes, shiny ground polished and “faceted” by means of unique bevels accentuating through the transparency of the glass the stunning multicolored material. The different components are then welded together in total clarity, by means of a special gluing technique, so creating very precious “furniture jewels”. Available in green or ochre finish. Nesting Medium Low Table in Amber, by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Glas Italia
By Glas Italia, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
Located in Macherio, IT
Low tables made entirely from Murano glass, characterized by extraordinary strength and plasticity of the material. The square tops are made with extremely thick poured glass, while the cylindrical legs are in blown glass. Available in amber or transparent glass. The low table legs are welded directly to the top, whilst the high table legs are attached to the top with stainless steel plates screwed together. Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have been working together for over ten years, bonded by diligence and challenged by their distinct personalities.  In 1997, they were spotted by Cappellini, giving them their first industrial design projects. Since then, they have gone on to work with Vitra, Magis, Alessi, Established & Sons, Axor Hansgrohe, Flos, Kvadrat, Kartell, Cappellini, Ligne Roset, Nani Marquina, Mattiazzi, Mutina, Hay and Glas Italia.   From designing spaces to furniture, taking on architectural projects to designing textile wall systems or comprehensive collections, the designer brothers maintain experimental activity with Gallery kreo, which is also essential to the development of their work.  Several exhibitions have been devoted to Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec including the Design Museum, London and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. In 2012, two exhibitions have been showing their work: Album at the Vitra Design Museum and Bivouac, a monographic exhibition that has been shown initially at the Centre Pompidou Metz and then at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. In the spring 2013, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs unveiled Momentané, a major exhibition. Also in 2013, it was unveiled the Gabriel Chandelier first permanent contemporary piece installed in the Palace of Versailles. In 2012, Phaidon Press published a second monographic book...
