About the Item

Silk painting, batik, love, decorative, horizontal "Two on the Shore" is a painting made on a silk canvas in the cold batik style. The finished painting is stretched on white linen canvas. The artist was inspired by Klimt's paintings to create this composition. The work is constructed as a visual poem about intimacy and trust. Two figures, fused in a slow, almost timeless gesture, exist not so much in a landscape as in a state—on the border of water, air, and emotion. The shore here is not a geographical location, but a metaphor for transition: between solitude and unity, between inner and outer. The composition is balanced and intimate. The bodies form a closed rhythm, a soft diagonal that keeps the gaze centered on the scene—at the moment of the kiss. The lines of the cold batik are fluid and musical: they echo the movement of water, wind, and breath. The outline is not rigid but rather "breathing," allowing the figures to seemingly dissolve into the surrounding environment, becoming part of the natural rhythm. The color palette is subtly warm, with predominantly ochre, terracotta, and sand tones, balanced by cool blue and gray-green hues. This contrast enhances the sense of tactility: the warmth of bodies against the coolness of the water and air. The golden lines of the silk paint resist create a glowing effect and add a decorative element, emphasizing the intimacy of the scene and lending it an almost sacred quality. The material — silk — was chosen with conceptual precision. Its transparency and fluidity heighten the sense of vulnerability and fragility of the moment. Cold batik here functions as a meditative technique: each layer of color and line adds depth without weighing down the image. "Two on the Shore" is a state of contemplation. The painting does not impose a narrative; it invites the viewer to stop and feel: the silence, the touch, the pause between inhalation and exhalation. This work is about love without declarations—quiet, physical, and deeply human. The painting is ideal for decorating a wall in a classic or modern interior; it is advisable to frame it. Serenity of Essence, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

Serenity of Essence, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

In my latest work from the 'Thoughts' series, titled 'Serenity of Essence', I once again delve into the profound world of feminine reflections. On this 60x80 cm canvas, painted with acrylics, I depicted a seated young woman with a cat resting beside her. This image creates an atmosphere of tranquility and deep contemplation, characteristic of my series. The background of the painting reveals a view of hills and trees, the leaves of which are adorned with ornaments, adding sophistication to the composition. The symbol of infinity on the woman's shoulder is not just decorative; it symbolizes the endlessness of existence and unity with nature. The flowers and grasses in the meadow are depicted symbolically and graphically, creating a visual rhythm that engages and leads the viewer through various levels of perception. 'Serenity of Essence' is not just a painting; it is my perspective on feminine self-discovery and inner harmony. This canvas is an invitation for viewers to feel at one with nature, find peace in their thoughts, and discover the deep symbols of feminine existence. In this work, I once again demonstrate my vision and ability to transform philosophical themes into visual metaphors that resonate with the soul ABOUT ARTIST: Tetiana Pchelnykova...
