Gerda Lynggaard Monies Sculptural Black Wood and Resin Stretch Bracelet Bangle

By Monies Gerda Lynggaard

Located in Atlanta, GA

A bold and sculptural statement piece by Gerda Lyngaard for Monies, this exceptional oversized stretch bracelet exemplifies the house's signature fusion of organic form, dramatic scale, and refined materiality. The bangle is composed of asymmetric, elongated elements, each hand‑carved and subtly domed, arranged in a rhythmic vertical sequence that creates a striking architectural silhouette around the wrist. Each element is crafted from black ebony wood and finished with a top layer of acrylic resin in a velvety, pearlized silver-mouse‑gray tone—a nuanced color that shifts beautifully with light and enhances the bracelet's sculptural presence. The interior stretch structure allows the piece to contour comfortably to the wrist while preserving its monumental form. One of the carved elements is discreetly engraved "Monies", confirming its authenticity. With its organic yet contemporary aesthetic, this bracelet reflects the visionary design language that has defined Monies for more than four decades. Gerda Lyngaard's work is celebrated for its fearless proportions, tactile materials, and uncompromising craftsmanship—qualities fully embodied in this rare and collectible example. The bracelet will be delivered with its original branded Monies dust bag. Please note: this is a substantially heavy piece, and due to its scale, it may not be suitable for a very small wrist. A museum‑worthy accessory for collectors of avant‑garde jewelry...

Georg Jensen 1969 Astrid Fog Geometric Kinetic Bracelet In .925 Sterling Silver

Located in Miami, FL

Kinetic Discs bracelet designed by Astrid Fog for Georg Jensen. Fabulous geometric flexible bracelet, created in Copenhagen Denmark by the silversmiths designer Astrid Fog for the Georg Jensen company, back in the 1969. This vintage bracelet is the model 169 and has been crafted with ultra modernist patterns. Composed by twenty-two kinetic movable semi circulars links, made up in plain solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. Fitted at the end with a flat hook as a security lock. Weight: 128.30 Grams, (82.24 Dwt). Size: 7.25 Inches (18.4 Cm). Measurements: The width is 24 mm (0.97 Inch). Hallmarks Stamped with the post 1945 maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "GEORG JENSEN STERLING DENMARK 169". Astrid Fog (1911-1993) In 1969, Astrid Fog released her first jewelry collection for Georg Jensen, and is noted for her modernist sensibilities and combinations of simple geometric shapes, such as circles, squares, and rectangles. Her jewelry is distinctive in its large bold shapes, often utilizing lightweight, hollow silver forms. Although unconventional, her jewelry stands as a testament of the fashions of her time period. Fog is also associated with Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufacture and designs clothing as well as lamps. (From GEORG JENSEN HOLLOWWARE, THE SILVERFUND COLLECTION, David A. Taylor & Jason W. Laskey, 2003). Georg Jensen Georg Jensen is the most famous Danish silversmith and jewelry designer that ever lived. He is world-renowned for his refined and intricate mastery. The simple elegance of his works and the emphasis on fine craftsmanship, the hallmarks of Georg Jensen products, are recognized around the world. Many of Georg Jensen's jewelry pieces are true works of art, honored to this day. He was one of the greatest representatives of the artistic movement known as "Art Nouveau". Jensen made his first piece of jewelry in 1899, a silver and silver and gilt "Adam and Eve" belt buckle. In 1901, Jensen abandoned ceramics and began again as a silversmith and designer with the master, Mogens Ballin. This led Jensen to make a landmark decision, when in 1904, he risked what small capital he had and opened his own little silversmith at 36 Bredgade in Copenhagen. Jensen's training in metalsmithing along with his education in the fine arts allowed him to combine the two disciplines and revive the tradition of the artist craftsman. Soon, the beauty and quality of his Art Nouveau creations caught the eye of the public and his success was assured. The Copenhagen quarters were greatly expanded and before the end of the 1920s, Jensen had opened retail in Berlin (1909), London (1921), and New York City (1924). The New York retail store, Georg Jensen Inc. (New York, NY), was founded and operated independently as a family business by Frederik Lunning...

Located in Miami, FL

Art nouveau bracelet designed by Kristian Mohl-Hansen for Georg Jensen. This is one of the most early and iconic bracelet, created in Copenhagen Denmark by the silversmith designer Kristian Mohl-Hansen for the Georg Jensen company, back in the 1918. This bracelet has been crafted in the art nouveau style with several doves in solid .925/.999 sterling silver. This is the old model fitted with the push boxed lock and the hinged slash for extra safety. Weight: 42.80 Grams, (27.43 Dwt). Size: 7.5 Inches (19 Cm). Measurements: The width is 24 mm (0.97 Inch). Hallmarks Stamped with the post 1945 maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "GEORG JENSEN STERLING DENMARK 14". Kristian Mohl-Hansen He was born in 1876, Kristian Mohl-Hansen was a diverse artist who influenced early and mid-1900 Danish designs. Having studied art formally, more specifically painting, in his formative years, Mohl-Hansen worked as a freelance artist in diverse areas, including textiles and jewelry. According to "Georg Jensen Jewelry," by Anscombe, Gelfer-Jorgensen, Greenbaum, and Soro, Yale University Press, 2005, Mohl-Hansen never worked directly for the Georg Jensen Company. Instead, he was paid for his sketches, which Georg Jensen transformed into fine silver jewelry. Kristian Mohl-Hansen is the designer for one of Georg Jensen's most well-known designs that depicts the side view of a dove surrounded by a round wreath. Mr. Mohl-Hansen passed away in 1962.
