This sculptural figure is finely cast and chased, displaying strong modeling and precise surface articulation. The stylized yet expressive head and compact proportions are characteristic of Rappoport’s animal figures created during the height of Fabergé’s Imperial production. The eyes are set with natural rubies, intact and original.
