The central circular composition consists of five circles of small facetted prong set stones that are linked together with six crescent shaped links of baguette shaped stones. At on one end, it finishes with a joined, larger baguette cut stone which holds the oval signature cartouche marked 'Christian Dior by Mitchel Maer' to the reverse. On the other end, there is a hook fastening with a safety chain that can be secured to the other side of the necklace.

This elegant silver brooch was handcrafted in 1920 ca. It is designed in the shape of a leaf, probably a laurus nobilis leaf. As bay leaf it is part of mediteranien cuisine. Laurel has been cultivated since antiquity as a medical, spice and ornamental plant. Since antiquity the leaf is attributed with victory, good luck and power. The plant is associated with the greek god Apollo. In greek language the word for laurel is identical with the name Daphne. In greek mythology Apollo pursued the nymph Daphne who could not stop the advances of the god and asked goddess Gaia for help. Gaia rescued the nymph and left a laurel tree...

Very attractive lapis lazuli and 14kt gold medium sized segmented bracelet. The high quality lapis is carved in a two tiered design, each segment is terminated by by a solid gold end cap. The segments are nicely curved to conform to the wrist. Here are joined together with well made links and terminate with an intricately designed box clasp.
The lapis lazuli is of very high quality with only a minuscule amount of calcite and very few pyrite flecks. The color is a deep even blue.
