ABOUT THE ARTIST
Huang Yulong was born in 1983 in Anhui Province, China. In 2007 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in Jiangxi Province. As one of the new generation of Chinese artists and part of the ‘post-80s generation’ and ‘only child’ generation, Huang is strongly influenced by the phenomenon of foreign culture in China, which he combines with his fascination with pottery and the material world. Huang is best known for his sculptures of Buddhas in hoodies, displaying an exchange of Eastern tradition and Western contemporary style. He was selected by “Complex” as “25 Contemporary Chinese Artists You Need to Know” in 2013. 2001 September, CCTV special report on “Zhang Xulong’s Body Art Photography” gained strong feedback from the community.
2002 January, published “Strategies for Commercial Portrait Photograph” by Zhejiang Photography Publishing.
2002 February, launched the concept of “Tang Yun” and greatly accepted by the market. His idea has spread across whole China’s photography industry.
2002 July, launched the concept of “Picasso’s scene backdrop” for kids photography and shocking the whole industry.
2002 August, published “Ms.Tang’s Body Art Portrait Album”, the first female body photography in China, by People’s Arts Publishing
2002 September, a personal exhibition entitled “seeing memory” in the ancient city of Shanxi Province, the 2nd session of the Pingyao International Photography Festival.
In December of 2002, he was invited to give lectures in Malaysia and auction off the “Fruitful Achievements” exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, donating all money to the Kuala Lumpur Charitable aid for nursing homes and orphanages, won the "goodwill ambassador" title of honor in Kuala Lumpur.
2003 February-March, held the exhibition of “White Valentines” at Beijing International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
December 2003, pioneered the new concept of "Royal Wedding", and completed the album of “Invasion 2004” wedding photography books published by Jilin art press.

About Spring Rosy Clouds
The highly conceptual series has drawn materials from the rocks of Chinese Gardens. Garden rocks, viewed as mountains -the larger world of nature in microcosm, often supplanted actual scenery as sources of inspiration for images of landscape. Whether it’s garden design or Chinese landscape painting, one of the most important considerations is the harmonious arrangement of elements expressing different aspects of yin( metaphor of feminity) and yang(metaphor of masculinity).
In this series, the artist uses digital techniques to combine the image of flower (feminity) and rocks (masculinity), expressing the vitality of life. Behind the simple lines lie an outstanding creating ability of lines that have long set the artist apart. The pink color, along with the implied meaning of Spring in the title of work suggests implicitly the repressed sexual concept in East, revealing in a moderate tone the artist’s insight about contemporary Chinese culture.

About the artist:
He Wenjue was born in 1970 in Hunan Province, China. He received his MA in painting from Jilin Academy of Fine Arts. Member of Chinese Art Association, Member of Chinese Painting Association.The vice-President of Hunan Oil-Painting Association. Research Fellow of Beijing Academy of China Xieyi Oil Painting.He is currently the vice president of Hunan Oil Painting Society, a member of China Artists Association and a member of Chinese Oil Painting Society.

The Twelve animals of Year represent the traditional Chinese wisdom that the laws of Nature governs all things and that man must seek harmony with Nature.
