This is a very fine necklace watch, created in America during the Edwardian period by Tiffany & Co., back in the 1915. The watch was crafted with a round shape in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with engine turned guilloche topped by blue hot enamels. The Watch winds and sets by turning the bale. Fitted on top with a swivel movable ring and a V shaped chain en suite.

The Edwardian era
Like the Georgian and Victorian eras before it, derives its name from the reign of the English King, Edward VII (1901-1910). Edwardian jewelry is known for representing femininity while incorporating a lot of the color white. Think diamonds, pearls and white metals like platinum and white gold. Diamonds often had an Old Mine or European cut and sapphires were a popular choice for a pop of color. They tended to be made from platinum and diamonds – the more, the merrier – and used fashionable, intricate techniques such as filigree and millegrain. Edwardian rings are works of art and best worn alone or alongside a simple wedding band. Mill graining, a new decorative technique made possible by the use of platinum, is featured often on Edwardian jewelry. Its border of delicate balls and ridges surrounding a gemstone or on the knife sharp edges of a design served to give jewelry a softer, lighter look.
Guilloché
This technique is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue.

Undefined by medium, Celso Castro’s works each carry the presence of the artist’s hand through the transparency of their process. Castro’s oeuvre is strongly divided between his photomontage assemblies and watercolor paintings: the prior is marked by the labor-intensive deconstruction of portrait photographs and the latter, by the seemingly frenzied recreation of a past encounter rendered in the drips and scribbles of paint and ink. Both discriminating in what they reveal of the subject, his photomontage and watercolor portraits exude raw sexuality through the combination of Castro’s mark-making and gaze. Celso Castro’s work is a bare-bulb erotic photo foray into the underbelly of Colombia’s drug world. English Mahogany Beau Brummell Gentleman dressing desk. Aristocratic Pedigree.
Outstanding example of a rare mechanical piece of furniture of museum quality. The luxurious polished Mahogany desk is raised on four square tapered legs on brass casters. Beautiful proportions give it a regal appearance. This elaborate and ingenious construction is master crafted by the cabinet maker, Maple Company of London. A spring-loaded mechanism lifts the top to reveal a triptych beveled mirror and a spectacular display of a multitude of hallmarked Vermeil silver and cut crystal vanity suites by Charles and Richard Comyns. Every piece is fully hallmarked and engraved with the crown of a count and monogrammed. The desk has it’s original finish, pencil inlay and original brass hardware, like hinges and catches. This statement piece represents the modern concept of glamour and luxury.
Maple and Company of London furnished Tsar Nicholas’s Winter Palace and the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna among other Royal Houses. This dressing vanity desk from the turn of the century is from the estate of the American actor and Real Estate millionaire Percy Garnett Williams (1857-1923)
