Mid-Century Modern Chaise or Day Bed in Coral Vinyl Faux Leather Aluminum Legs
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern coral vinyl faux leather and aluminum leg chaise lounge or day bed. It is in good vintage condition. The beautiful original coral colored vinyl has many nicks, holes, dings, and tears. But we have repaired a few and if you do not need perfection you could get by using this great colored upholstery. One large repair is in the middle of the head pad. Please see photos. However, we know most will want to reupholster, so it is priced accordingly. Circa mid-20th century. I am looking into the future and I can just imagine you lounging upon this lovely chaise while sipping a cocktail from your mid-century modern bar cart! Or maybe that’s me? No. I think it is you. Well I assume that means you are going to make this fabulous piece yours. It is comprised of four-square tubular brushed aluminum legs which hold it to padded chaise lounge body. It is currently wearing its original gorgeous coral colored vinyl faux leather with nail head detail. Unfortunately, this covering has seen lots of use and you will most likely want to recover. However, we have repaired a few of the boo boos and if you can live with them for a bit you could enjoy this luscious color for a while. It will be fabulous in your mid-century modern home or industrial loft no matter where it is used. We did not find any tags or maker’s name and do not know exactly how this piece started its life. But we can visualize it learning lots of secrets in a psychiatrist office or offering a seat to young starlets in the director’s office. Whatever secrets it holds we know you are smitten as we are. Make it yours! Chair size: • Height at head 26 inches • Height at foot 21 inches • O/A length 73 inches • Length of seating area 42...

MCM Streamline Modern Industrial Royal Blue Vinyl & Chrome Adjustable Chaise
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome streamline modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Industrial style royal blue & vinyl or faux leather and chrome chaise or daybed with adjustable head or back rest. Wonderful condition keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so there will be signs of wear & use. The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone. Some may want to recover but repairs are minor & look great, so it is priced accordingly. Please see photos & zoom in for details. We attempt to portray imperfections. Circa mid-20th-late 20th century. Note: The vinyl has been treated with lexol and is ready to use. No dust cover as legs are easily removeable for transporting & storage. Wonderful vintage triple strand rattan sofa and chair in the style of Heywood Wakefield with zippered orange nubby fabric and original foam filled cushions. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are a couple of stains on the spring covers. It has been vacuumed, the frames have been cleaned and a coat of amber sealer. The fabric and cushions are in wonderful condition but there is a “crispy” sound to them. It is not the cushions but a backing on the fabric. Some may want to recover. Priced accordingly. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Rattan Lounge Chair & Ottoman Orange Fabric Cushions by Helmers Manufacturing Co
Located in Topeka, KS
Marvelous vintage rattan lounge chair and ottoman by Helmers Manufacturing Company with spring seat and ottoman cushions and nubby orange fabric. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has been cleaned, vacuumed, and a fresh coat of amber sealer on the rattan. The cushion sound “crispy” but it is not the cushions. It is the vintage backing on the fabric. Although the fabric is in great condition and a fabulous color, you may choose to recover. They are priced accordingly. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early 1900’s-1940’s. “In order to write about life, first you must live it.” -Ernest Hemingway. Well…lean back, put your feet up, and live your BEST life lounging in this phenomenal rattan lounge chair and ottoman by Helmers Manufacturing Company!! This is a gorgeous lounge chair and ottoman comprised of rattan frames and wraps, pillow back cushion, spring seat and ottoman cushion wearing a fabulous nubby orange fabric. Although we don’t believe the fabric to be original, we expect it was reupholstered sometime in the 1950’s, and it’s in good condition! The cushions are a bit stiffer and make some crispy sounds (we believe this to be from the backing on the fabric) so some will want to recover at some point, but it can be used as is for quite some time. This set bares a lot of styles including campaign, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, and rustic. We also think this set looks like something right out of Earnest Hemingway’s living room with an “Out of Africa” inspired style! It also has a Ralph Lauren feel. It’s just FABULOUS!! It has straight wide arms consisting of three double rattan bars that curve around to the bottom front of the seat cushion. The ottoman slopes back with a nice angle so your feet hang down comfortably. This is just the set you need to kick your feet up and relax in your Coastal or Island style sitting room, in the study facing the fireplace, or maybe out on the Lanai or sunroom. Henry J, Helmers Sr. was a native of Germany but came to America as an infant with his parents. Approximately 1870 they moved to Leavenworth, Kansas. He worked hard and early in life at whatever jobs he could but was unhappy and life was tough. Eventually he became a barber and practiced for some time but was unfulfilled. He disposed of his barber business and began to focus on producing a barber supply line, which he did until 1881, when he added the manufacture of furniture. In 1888 Mr. Helmers organized Helmers Manufacturing Company and manufactured a general line of furniture. In 1901 he established a branch in Kansas City and in 1905 built a jobbing house there. The Helmers Manufacturing Company Building was built in 1909 to accommodate an expanding furniture...

Wide Rattan Wicker Chaise by Bielecky Brothers, Inc. New White Canvas Upholstery
By Bielecky Brothers
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome extra wide wicker chaise W7800 by Bielecky Brothers, Inc. It is in fabulous vintage condition. We have had it recovered in a wonderful white canvas. Please see photos. Circa late 20th century to early 21st century. Note: There is a self-fabric slipcover for the lower portion of the cushion for some dirty shoe protection and a second pillow for the back that did not get into the photos. This is an incredible rattan wicker chaise made by Bielecky Brothers, Inc. of New York. Bielecky Brothers is considered one of the top makers of high-quality wicker, rattan, and cane furnishings. This chaise is comprised of a rattan wicker frame. Wicker is a process not a material and at Bielecky all wicker is woven of reed. The reed is thin poles of rattan extracted from a solid section of vine and since this reed is entirely made from the core of the plant, it is porous, absorbing stain readily and evenly. This chaise has been professionally recovered in a simple but beautiful off-white canvas. Bielecky Brothers, Inc. has been a top provider of high-end rattan, cane and wicker furniture in American since 1903. Founded when Andrew and Conrad Bielecky emigrated from Poland to New York and set up a small shop weaving wicker chairs. Even when, around 1930s-1940s, wicker fell out of style for home interiors Bielecky survived because of their high quality in production and finishing. Every Bielecky Brothers’ piece is custom-made and handcrafted and to this day are produced in the same way they were when the firm was first established. They have provided their products to Presidents, John F. Kennedy; Vice Presidents, Kick Cheney; musicians, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bette Midler, Liza Minelli, Luciano Pavarotti, and Clive Davis...
