Matl Sterling Earrings with Amethyst & Turquoise, MS-12 Artisan Mexico Silver

Located in North Attleboro, MA

These vintage Matl earrings capture the richly ornamented silverwork and gemstone combinations characteristic of the later evolution of the Matilde Poulat workshop. Each earring features a deeply colored pyramid-cut amethyst framed by natural turquoise cabochons, all set within the signature Matl scrollwork and articulated dangles. The hand-engraved marks matl, Mexico 925, and M. Regis 142073, together with the MS-12 stamped hallmark on the reverse, confirm mid-1970s to early 1980s Salas-period Matl workshop production. The MS-12 code denotes the specific artisan within the Salas atelier who fabricated these pieces. Bold, dimensional, and richly detailed, these earrings remain highly collectible examples of Mexican modernist jewelry...

Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. 18k Gold and Colored Diamond Fringe Necklace

By Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

Located in Weston, MA

The “Fringe’ necklace was first created in 1956 by John Schlumberger and immediately became a world-wide sensation. It has also become an iconic Tiffany design since then. This necklace is part of a very limited edition of Fringe necklaces adorned with yellow, orange and white diamonds instead of all white diamonds. The necklace to which the fringe is attached is a gold chain. Each individual fringe is separated by a round gold spacer. The fringe itself is made from hand-twisted gold “rope” in various lengths to create interest and movement. The almost 12 carats of yellow, orange and white diamonds are scattered among the fringe’s individual strands animating the design with their play of light. Throughout history the concept of “fringe” jewelry...

Dedon "Obelisk" Stacking Garden Furniture Group

Dedon "Obelisk" Stacking Garden Furniture Group

By DEDON, Frank Ligthart

Located in Hanover, MA

The Obelisk designed by Frank Ligthart for Dedon, 2008. No longer in production. Inspired by the Neolithic menhirs of Carnac in the French region of Brittany it is composed of two pairs of matching high- and low-back lounge chairs and a conical table. The base of the table supports all the chairs when stacked into its sculptural shape for storage. This listing is for one complete Obelisk PLUS an EXTRA set of four chairs and table. Half the fun of owning the obelisk is actually having the obelisk tower on display. Once it is taken down to be used for seating then the giant sculpture is gone. Here we offer you the best of both worlds: a seating group of four chairs as well as the stacked Obelisk sculpture, which you won't need to disassemble until you are completely overrun with guests! The complete Obelisk consists of two S-chairs, two M-chairs and the cone table. The bonus set consists of three of the S-chairs and one M-chair plus the table. Price shown is for the complete Obelisk plus the extras. Both sets have brand new cushions. NO FURTHER DISCOUNTS. Image 8 shows the "spare" set which includes 3 "S" chairs (instead of 2) and 1 "M" chair (instead of 2) and one table base. The spare set will not stack to form the obelisk because that requires two of each chair. This is the ultra-chic original space-saving solution for garden, pool or terrace furniture...

Whimsical Kinetic Gold TexturedChainLink3Strand Clown Necklace, c1938

Located in Chicago, IL

Acquired in The States and likely inspired by the American 1938-commissioned animated-feature movie, Pinocchio, that was produced for two years by Walt Disney based on an Italian children's story, this whimsical kinetic unsigned pre-WWII yellow-gold-gilt brass necklace with elegant draping chains features a three-inch-long flexible multi-textured faux-carved-wood puppet-on-strings pendant with pointed hat, filigree-capped collar and waist, and flexible geometric-shaped limbs. Structured with three chains, notice the additional texture on the slightly larger links of the upper necklace. Unlike the movie, the marionette on our necklace wears a lace-like collar that resembles the original character illustrated by Enrico Mazzanti in the book by Tuscany-born Carlo Collodi, The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883). The necklace otherwise could date no earlier than the turn of the 19th Century when the spring-ring clasp was first in use. Since that time, Pinocchio became one of the most reimagined characters in literature based on multiple authors whose protagonist was a similar anthropomorphic puppet. To be conservative about its age as the necklace is in good condition, we suspect that Austrian-born Hattie Carnegie commissioned it to accessorize her "hat-to-hem" custom-made or ready-to-wear clothing that frequently featured amusing figural subjects with articulated parts, such as mythical creatures, fauna or clowns. Before her death at the age 69 in 1956, not all of the pieces in the costume-jewelry parures of her eponymous brand since 1919 were signed, while based on experience we assume that at least clip earrings accompanied this creative necklace...

6 Pair of Georg W. Hansen Brass 1706 Double Swing Arm Wall Lamps

6 Pair of Georg W. Hansen Brass 1706 Double Swing Arm Wall Lamps

By George W. Hansen, Metalarte Spain

Located in Hanover, MA

At present we have SIX (6) pair of these original solid brass model 1706 swing arm wall lamps. These are the real deal, old school, with the extinct (not exaggerating) brass square tube cord covers, MetalArt marked backplates which go over the separate wall mounting plates, original solid brass finials and original lampshades (several different styles). Can be hard wired or plug-in. Works with three-way lightbulb. Designed by Georg W. Hansen in 1947 while improvising a reading lamp for his bunk during World War 2, we present this vintage pair of polished brass double swing arm sconces with original harps and solid brass finials as well as solid brass column cord covers. Signed Hansen original cast brass rectangular backplates (3 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall x 1/2" deep), allowing the option of hard wiring or simply wall mounting and plugging into an outlet. Three way switch. Each lamp takes a single standard Edison screw bulb up to 150 watts. This is the original swing arm lamp favored by designers for nearly 75 years. Each hinge can be tightened to lock in position. Manufactured by Metalarte, Barcelona, Spain for Hansen New York. Hansen Lamps was acquired by Hinson Lighting...

Located in North Adams, MA

Silkscreen in 9 colors on 320 gram Coventry Rag Dimensions: 29" x 29" Signed by the Artists in pencil An edition of 75 John “CRASH” Matos and Eric Orr met for the first time as high school students. Although the exact location is unclear, both agree that it would have been at either Fashion Moda or the Writers’ Bench at 149th Street and Grand Concourse. Founded by Stefan Eins in 1978, Fashion Moda began as a “cultural concept” whose principles revolved around the fact that art can be made by anyone, anywhere and art should be accessible to anyone, anywhere. Located in the South Bronx, Fashion Moda embraced new talent and encouraged creative production across all mediums. The gallery has been credited as a major force behind the recognition of graffiti writing as an art form and it played a pivotal role in a community where Hip Hop was rapidly emerging. CRASH was only 19 years old when he curated “Graffiti Art Success for America” at Fashion Moda and his varied experiences at the gallery would later inspire his founding of WALLWORKS.
