“My inspiration for this piece, like most of my historical Woodland Frontier pieces, is a result of many years of research into our 18th century heritage. Most often I am painting those actual scenes recorded in history, as conflict and hardship shaped this young country. However, I also paint generic historical scenes of everyday life.
