Today he lives in Bulgaria and works in a creative workshop in Sofia. Willem started his career as Sculptor at Shows and Exhibitions in the South African Defense Force in 1981. He was mentored by Artists like Andre Prinsloo and Jan van Der Merwe. In 1986, he moved to Namibia where he was a Sculptor for the Windhoek State Museum. During the time in Windhoek, he had several one man and group expeditions in various galleries in Windhoek and Swakopmund. In 1988 he was commissioned to remake the Atlas Sculpture on the House Hohenzollern Building in Swakopmund. In 1990, he moved to Town where he sculpted full time. Willem did some freelance work for Jean Doyle, helping with the bronze casting of her work. During his time in Cape Town, he exhibited in several galleries in and around Cape Town. In 1991, he moved to Graskop, where he continued full time sculpting and he opened his own foundry. He moved back to Pretoria in 1992, to continue sculpting and established Art Cast Foundry. In the same year he was commissioned to do several decorative works for the Palace of Sun City, that includes, all the doors bronze handles. I have read that designers strive to give character to cars, often inspired by nature - sometimes their headlights look like the eyes of an owl or an eagle, grills snarling predatorily like shark’s teeth, the body curved like a purring kitten orsleek like a hungry tiger ... not to mention the many horses under the bonnet ... It is this nature of cars, including some of the most expensive and vintage brands, that artist Pancho Malezanov unveils his new series "(Auto) portraits". First of all, because he has experience with painting animals and knows their desires well. Secondly, because he sees their characters embodied in metal, leather and glass. Maestro Elena Georgieva was born in 1979 in Sofia, Bulgaria From 1997 till 1999 she studied painting in “The Julius Pinkas Fine Art College” in Sofia. In 2006 Graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia with master degree in painting in the class of Acad. Svetlin Rusev, Prof. Desislava Mincheva and Prof. Ivaylo Mirchev. She participated in numerous group exhibitions as a student. In 2005 and 2006 she was awarded second prize and encouragement in the Contest for young artists managed by the St. Cyril and Methodius Foundation. She was awarded a diploma in a drawing competition organized by the National Academy in Sofia. She became winner of the annual scholarship for young artists, founded by Dr. A. Kanev. She was awarded in a competition managed by Post Bank. Since 2006 the young artist is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. In 2007 she opened her first solo exhibition in the gallery "Art 36", followed by a solo exhibition at the Privatization Agency. In 2009 in "Sofia Press Gallery” was her next exhibition, entitled "Places". It included landscapes from Bulgaria and other countries in Europe. In 2010 she participated in the initiative of Global Foundation for Art PANGAEA, under the motto "Society today and tomorrow". She named her painting "To create life”. In 2013 she was awarded a two-month specialization at “Cite des Arts”, Paris, France. In 2016 she participated in Allianz Bulgaria National Competition for Painting. In 1916 she was nomineed for scolarship in Munchen.
