Georgetown Renovation

Leroy Street Studio was commissioned again by the owners, three years after the completion of their family house in Cape Cod. Acting as the interior designer on this project, we worked closely with the client to create a meaningful blend of contemporary design with the rich culture heritage of the existing house. We infused the historical house with modern-day Parisian style. By contrasting elements from different areas and periods, we avoid a formalistic style in the large reception rooms. We chose the purest white for the walls and the existing moldings which plays with the contrasting floors to create the illusion of light in an otherwise rather dark ground floor. The rest of the house was designed with comfort in mind and casual sophistication was the result.
