Living With Statement Art

Apartment by Vicente Wolf Associates, Inc. in New York, NY

Few homes have an abundant assemblage of distinguished furnishings and art as this project with two combined apartments Vicente designed on Central Park West. To create his modern vision for merging the two residences for these notable collectors, unnecessary beams and mouldings were eliminated, and Vicente employed his signature high gloss backgrounds for the ceiling, walls and floor.

The focal point of this expansive living room is the 18th century Italian Rococo table was customized with a red acrylic top. A metal rod is inserted into the table’s top that serves as a TV stand to one side and a stainless-steel panel as a surface reflecting the views and art.

This expansive living room was envisioned as an environment suitable for a cocktail party for yesterday, today and tomorrow. A palette of electric blue juxtaposed with high gloss white backgrounds and touches of gold, as in the According to Vicente, “wonderful art enhances a space, adding not only embellishments but livable depth.”

Art pieces throughout include two Warhol Brillo Boxes, Richard Prince, Wolfgang Tillmans, Joseph Beuys, Juergen Teller, Wendell MacRae, Walker Evans, Darren Almond, Robert Gober sculpture, assorted Adam Pendleton, sculpture by Pedro Friedeberg, John Chamberlain car sculpture...among many other works of art .
