Marina Towers

Apartment by Lisa Wolfe Design in Chicago, IL

Who doesn’t want a pied-de-terre in the iconic Marina Towers!? My clients wanted to turn their old son’s college condo into a Andy Warhol-inspired space full of color that rocked them out of their normal surroundings.

We sourced as many authentic 1960/1970 pieces as we could. The focal wall had to be real special — big, bright with an attitude (more Roy Lichtenstein than Any Warhol!) featuring our wild color palette and my Client’s favorite champagne. Ultimately, we worked with a local studio who created three total custom murals.

Clients had just tried their hand at being a designer and hired a contractor to redo the floor plan, kitchen and bath. Luckily their design resulted very neutral selections so we were able to work around them….except I had them rip out their brand new backsplash bc it was yawn-y.
