We often meet clients who aren't entirely settled on their design aspirations, but, in this case, our clients came to us with a clear vision they had been fostering for years. The globe-trotting husband and wife had just hired an architect to build their forever home from the ground up when they asked us to join the team, lending to the project our particular penchant for color and eye for elevated eclecticism. They commissioned us to create an interior inspired by the husband's childhood love of mid-century modern design but also by all the special pieces the couple had collected around the world together. With breathtaking ocean views and boasting an eclectic collection of art, the interior became a clean, tonal backdrop full of sophisticated, modern materials that complemented the architecture - an ideal canvas for layering fun punctuations (like color-soaked cabinetry, luxe stones, and fearlessly finished hardware) and paying homage to various design styles. As always, we worked closely with our team of fabricators to flawlessly execute this unusually custom home - from the smallest details (the entry's oversized, brass bamboo door handles) to architectural focal points (a blackened steel floor-to-ceiling stairway partition) - and we couldn't be more thrilled with the end result.
