Hollywood Hills Residence, Los Angeles

Family Home by Giampiero Tagliaferri in Los Angeles, CA

Renovation of a modernist residence designed by Rudolph Schindler’s protegé Richard Lind, in 1939.

The project focus on the cross-currents of modernism that connect the work that evolved in Europe, Brazil, Japan and the U.S at the middle of the past century. This house gave us the opportunity to explore the kinship and tension among these disparate places and eras, and the ways in which the light and landscape of Los Angeles create a specific context and sense of place.
