Upper East Side Highrise

We were somewhat shocked when our octogenarian client announced he was selling his Park Avenue apartment, which we had also worked on, to move into an iconic high-rise on New York city's Upper East Side to the floor matching his birthdate year and an apartment with a letter matching his first initial. He had given all his furniture to auction and to charities and wanted to start from scratch, the brief was black and pink and red, which happened to be his favorite color combination. A black Tuxedo sofa was made, a modern coffee table followed, Louis XV reproduction frames were lacquered white and covered in pink and red, we also made two small scale club chairs to pull-up... With breathtaking views, we made a simple pair of mirrored screens, catching light and the scenery around.
