GONDOLAS WITH SAN GIORGIO MAGGIORE – VENICE, ITALY – GERALD BERGHAMMER
This atmospheric colour fine art photograph by Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer captures traditional Venetian gondolas on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon in Venice, Italy, with the iconic Church of San Giorgio Maggiore emerging through soft haze in the distance. Dark blue gondolas and weathered wooden mooring posts create a rhythmic foreground, while the historic church forms a distinctive focal point across the lagoon.

The restrained palette of blue, green, grey and white, together with misty Venetian light and generous negative space, gives the composition a calm, dreamlike atmosphere.
Combining Venetian gondolas, San Giorgio Maggiore and refined long-exposure photography, this contemporary colour artwork presents a minimalist interpretation of one of Italy’s most recognisable cityscapes. Its balanced composition and sophisticated palette make it particularly suited to contemporary, modern and Scandinavian interiors and will appeal to collectors of Venice photography...
