Having been nurtured by a Yoruba father who happens to be a twin was a major inspiration for creating this painting. In Yoruba culture, twins are considered a special blessing from God. They are mostly called ‘ibeji’ which means twins. In Yoruba society, twins are given special names, such as Taiwo (meaning “first to taste the world“) and Kehinde (meaning “second to taste the world”). Through This Window, Thin Rivers - Framed Colorful Abstract Art

By Raul de la Torre

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Barcelona native artist Raul de la Torre's vibrant abstract mixed media artworks pay homage to textiles. De La Torre allows the materials to take over during the process and collaborates with the unexpected to create works that speak to the natures of dynamism and unity. Experimentation with different materials, textures, and techniques in each of his paintings has been a point of discovery and a major part of Raul de la Torre’s work. In his Fils I Colors series he attempts to find the third dimension through the use of different materials. This colorful 30-inch high by 24-inch wide original artwork on canvas is framed in a natural wood frame. It is wired and ready to hang. Size and price include frame. It is signed, dated, and titled by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. This artwork is part of de la Torre's Brooklyn Series, which he describes as, "inspired by Brooklyn: the people, the art, the colors, the textures, the poetry." The interaction between the artist, gravity, and the paint is important for the final result. A tilting technique permits the paint to be a major architect of the final result, giving it a life of its own. It results in infinite and timeless color combinations. In many cases, the different layers of color each represent a temporary state of mind, time, and even feelings, places and people. Some of them are embroidered forever in our memory turning to form part of our DNA. To represent the firmness and strength of that past the cotton is mixed with the paint in the works to form a unity. Embroidery provides another layer as it creates thick shadows with organic shapes. De la Torre makes horizontal cuts on the canvas and covers these open areas using color matching cotton thread. When combined with light, these shapes create a more dynamic surface and offer different views of the work to various observers. Raul de la Torre was born in Barcelona in 1964 and attended Massana Art School. About the Fils series, de la Torre remarks: “FILS I COLORS is an attempt to find life, movement and parts that are not static, that change in their interaction with the observer. The different combinations of colors represent different emotions and interpretations for each individual interacting with the works.” Raul de la Torre's artworks can be found in the collections of The Four Seasons Abu Dhabi, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, the Rothschild Family Collection, and varying Hilton properties. His works have been exhibited and collected worldwide. Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Raul de la Torre's original artworks since 2010. The gallery has been a 1stdibs partner since 2014 with consistently excellent reviews from clients worldwide. The gallery exhibits a large selection of affordable original artworks from established and emerging international artists with diverse backgrounds at high standards. Artspace Warehouse is known to provide accurate descriptions, images, reliable services, communication, and delivery. Set Sail - Colorful Green Stripes Original Abstract Landscape Layered Painting

By Amber Goldhammer

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles-based artist Amber Goldhammer creates dynamic and energetic abstract artworks, combining acrylic paint and mixed media into layered compositions that evoke a sense of movement and emotion. "Set Sail" is a stunning example of her ability to harmonize graffiti-inspired techniques with contemporary abstract expressionism. Featuring overlapping layers of vibrant greens, turquoise, earthy neutrals, and bold black brushstrokes, this painting draws viewers into its rhythmic flow, offering a sense of depth and spontaneity. Measuring 24 inches high by 18 inches wide, this original painting has grey-painted edges and does not require framing. It comes wired and ready to hang, adding a bold and modern touch to any space. Signed and titled by the artist on the back, "Set Sail" includes a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its value as a one-of-a-kind piece. Key Features: Medium: Acrylic and mixed media on canvas, creating richly textured, layered surfaces. Dimensions: 24" x 18", perfect for accent walls or gallery-style displays. Presentation: Ready to hang with neutral grey painted sides—no framing required. Authenticity: Signed by Amber Goldhammer with a certificate of authenticity included. Shipping Options: Convenient local delivery in Los Angeles, with affordable U.S. and international shipping available. About the Artist: Amber Goldhammer is renowned for her vibrant abstract works infused with street art influences and uplifting messages. Her creative journey began with pigments, powders, and waxes, evolving into her signature layered style that merges urban energy with abstract elegance. Frequently incorporating the phrase "I Love You" into her series, Goldhammer’s art spreads joy and connection, often transforming public spaces through her impactful murals. Each painting by Goldhammer is a process of discovery—a union of color, texture, and emotion, created instinctively without judgment. Her work bridges the gap between contemporary fine art and street art, appearing on everything from canvases and murals to clothing and accessories. "Set Sail" is more than a painting; it’s an expression of freedom, emotion, and bold creativity. Its interplay of colors and textures captures the imagination, making it a statement piece for collectors of original abstract art, graffiti-inspired works, and modern wall décor. Amber Goldhammer frequently draws inspiration for her palette from nature and the colors of the ocean, saying, “I get to take in the essence of the ocean every day, which fuels my creativity and brings me peace.” She draws a fascinating parallel between her highly coveted paintings and the diverse tapestry of the world around us. Just as a field of flowers may initially appear uniform, upon closer inspection, the intricate beauty of each unique blossom becomes evident. Her artwork mirrors this intricate beauty and complexity, offering a captivating journey for art enthusiasts in search of original, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the rich diversity of our surroundings. A worldwide collected young artist with ongoing concurrent exhibitions in galleries throughout the United States and Switzerland, Goldhammer's artworks have also been exhibited at major international art fairs. Her original paintings have been showcased in print and online publications and on such TV series as “Million Dollar Listing,” “Being Mary Jane,” “The Catch” as well as both multi-Emmy® nominated series, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, and “Scandal.” Goldhammer’s art is also featured on Netflix’s original series, “G.L.O.W.” by “Weeds” creator, Jenji Kohan. Los Angeles street artist Gary John exploded onto the international art scene first during Art Basel Miami in 2013. John’s playfully bold work quickly gained attention and he was named one of 20 standout artists at the 2014 NY Affordable Art Fair. His contemporary artworks continue to be exhibited at major international art fairs in the United States, Asia and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Celebrities and major art collectors worldwide have acquired his timeless artworks, which have seen a significant increase in value. John applied bold acrylic paint, oil pastels, and mixed media onto architectural paper to create this original artwork measuring 42 inches high by 30 inches wide. This mixed media painting is signed and dated by the artist in the lower left corner using the first two letters of his first and last name (GA JO). Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Gary John has been a street artist since 1985. Originally from Seattle, Washington, he moved to Venice Beach, Los Angeles in 2003 and began selling on the Venice boardwalk. After almost 10 years on the boardwalk and experiencing “a bout with homelessness,” he was discovered and his artistic career took off with great success. He references this success in every artwork he makes. Along the left side of the artwork he paints a series of circles joined together by an arrow pointing up. Each circle represents a stepping stone on the path of success that keeps growing to greater heights. On the right side he depicts a line of houses, expressing the joy he finds in the stability of a home. His street artworks have a whimsical yet exciting and bold quality, inspired by classic cartoon...
