Fils I Colors DCXIII - Contemporary Colorful Abstract Mixed Media Painting

By Raul de la Torre

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Barcelona native artist Raul de la Torre's vibrant abstract mixed media artworks pay homage to textiles. De La Torre allows the materials to take over during the process and collaborates with the unexpected to create works that speak to the natures of dynamism and unity. Experimentation with different materials, textures and techniques in each of his paintings has been a point of discovery and a major part of Raul de la Torre’s work. In his Fils I Colors series he attempts to find the third dimension through the use of different materials. This colorful 30-inch high by 24-inch wide original artwork on canvas is wired and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are painted white and it does not require framing. It is signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. The interaction between the artist, gravity, and the paint is important for the final result. A tilting technique permits the paint to be a major architect of the final result, giving it a life of its own. It results in infinite and timeless color combinations. In many cases, the different layers of color each represent a temporary state of mind, time, and even feelings, places and people. Some of them are embroidered forever in our memory turning to form part of our DNA. To represent the firmness and strength of that past the cotton is mixed with the paint in the works to form a unity. Embroidery provides another layer as it creates thick shadows with organic shapes. De la Torre makes horizontal cuts on the canvas and covers these open areas using color matching cotton thread. When combined with light, these shapes create a more dynamic surface and offer different views of the work to various observers. Raul de la Torre was born in Barcelona in 1964 and attended Massana Art School. About the Fils series, de la Torre remarks: “FILS I COLORS is an attempt to find life, movement and parts that are not static, that change in their interaction with the observer. The different combinations of colors represent different emotions and interpretations for each individual interacting with the works.” Raul de la Torre's artworks can be found in the collections of The Four Seasons Abu Dhabi, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, the Rothschild Family Collection, and varying Hilton properties. His works have been exhibited and collected worldwide. Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Raul de la Torre's original artworks since 2010. The gallery has been a 1stdibs partner since 2014 with consistently excellent reviews from clients worldwide. The gallery exhibits a large selection of affordable original artworks from established and emerging international artists with diverse backgrounds at high standards. Artspace Warehouse is known to provide accurate descriptions, images, reliable services, communication, and delivery. Artist Comments
Artist Patrick O'Boyle exhibits an abstract landscape using a vivid palette. "This painting is purely an abstract reference to places I have sketched on location," says Patrick. He paints with an acrylic wash establishing shapes, color & texture placement. Using collaged material creates interest and draws the viewer closer to the piece.

About the Artist
Patrick O'Boyle primarily paints in a studio, rarely using reference material other than his own thoughts and dreams. He always paints in a series of five - at the end of the fifth painting he revisits and reworks all of them until he feels they're complete. Using extra-long handles on his brushes, Patrick paints at a distance from the canvas so he can see the works evolve as a whole from the one color he starts with to the vibrant array at the end.

White Series n2. Abstract Painting

By Rosario Briones

Located in Miami Beach, FL

In this series the artist represent the force of white that invades with its free forms, strongly over the structure of black. White is the absolute color, the purest, the most perfect, the most luminous. It speaks of innocence and perfection. It springs from the darkness, the mystery and the seriousness of black. This strong contrast of white on black symbolizes light and shadows, like a fight of those two opposing forces that repel and at the same time attract each other, forming a very strong communion between the two. As if they both needed each other to give him place to the other. In her work, Rosario Briones...

His contemporary artworks continue to be exhibited at major international art fairs in the United States, Asia and Europe, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Convenient local Los Angeles area shipping. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Gary John has been a street artist since 1985. Originally from Seattle, Washington, he moved to Venice Beach, Los Angeles in 2003 and began selling on the Venice boardwalk. After almost 10 years on the boardwalk and experiencing “a bout with homelessness,” he was discovered and his artistic career took off with great success. He references this success in every artwork he makes. Along the left side of the artwork he paints a series of circles joined together by an arrow pointing up. Each circle represents a stepping stone on the path of success that keeps growing to greater heights. On the right side he depicts a line of houses, expressing the joy he finds in the stability of a home. His street artworks have a whimsical yet exciting and bold quality, inspired by classic cartoon and comic book characters rendered with acrylic paint in a bold graffiti style, on newspaper, board or other media. His choice of newspapers reflects the diversity of his Los Angeles surroundings, including Korean language newspapers, which have become equally collected as his artworks on English language newspapers. John cites Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat as his artistic inspiration. Other influences are comic books and American pop culture. His original artworks add a new face to the continuous popularity of pop art. John says...

Pals - Two Bicycles Abstract Geometric Mixed Media Painting on Wood

By Rebecca Klundt

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Rebecca Klundt’s "Pals" uncovers the unique beauty of original paintings, geometric abstractions, and textural mixed-media art. This 32-inch high by 25-inch wide artwork transforms reclaimed wood into a stunning assemblage finished with layers of acrylic paint, highlighting Klundt's commitment to sustainability and creative renewal. Perfect for lovers of eco-friendly art and modern textural compositions, "Pals" features a playful yet sophisticated design of figures composed of bold lines and shapes against a distressed wood-texture background. Klundt’s use of found materials and geometric patterns creates a sense of harmony and order, while the vibrant accents of orange and teal bring dynamic energy to this visually captivating piece. Key Features: > Mixed-Media Assemblage: Crafted from reclaimed wood and layered with acrylic paint, resulting in a textured, geometric composition. > Compact Statement Size: At 32 x 25 inches, this original artwork is ideal for adding a unique touch to smaller spaces or as part of a gallery wall. > Eco-Friendly Art: Made with sustainable materials, reflecting Klundt’s passion for repurposing and renewal. > Ready to Hang: Mounted on a sturdy wood panel, wired, and painted on the sides, eliminating the need for additional framing. > Authenticity Guaranteed: Signed on the back by Rebecca Klundt, with a certificate of authenticity included. About the Artist: Rebecca Klundt, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, holds a BFA from Brigham Young University and is widely recognized for her innovative use of reclaimed materials in art. Inspired by the natural world and the process of transformation, Klundt creates abstract works that explore themes of renewal, order, and the beauty of lines. Her artistic philosophy embraces using "the unusable" and turning discarded materials into thoughtful, organized compositions. Drawing from the textures and fissures of Utah’s slick rock formations, Klundt’s works are a testament to her love of significant lines and her ability to imbue each piece with a sense of natural balance and human ingenuity. Why "Pals" Stands Out: Rebecca Klundt’s "Pals" is a perfect example of her ability to merge sustainability with contemporary art. Its playful geometric forms and eco-conscious construction make it an ideal addition for collectors seeking modern, textural art that tells a story of creativity and renewal. "Pals", a one-of-a-kind original mixed-media painting by Rebecca Klundt adds sustainable elegance to any home or office space. This unique, eco-friendly artwork celebrates the beauty of reclaimed materials and modern abstraction.
