On Silverlode Road - Oversized Large Abstract Figurative Original Artwork

By Jonas Fisch

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Swedish artist Jonas Fisch’s imagery is vibrantly buzzing with colorful commentary on society - past and present - morphed into figures, words, and shapes. His heavily layered canvases are the foundations of a new visual dialogue. Fisch paints with a jazz-like spontaneity, expressing personal emotions, commenting on contemporary society, and exploring old mythologies. Formulating a galaxy of the unknown, Fisch’s textural paintings flood the mind with possibility. His process is instinctive and organic, the paintings energetic and vibrant, emerging from his subconscious without judgment. They are constructed by feelings trying to find harmony. Endless figures, messages, layers, and symbols move in and out of focus as the eye explores his puzzle pieces with varied solutions. Jonas Fisch created this large colorful 93-inch tall by 67-inch wide painting with mixed media. acrylic, and oil stick on canvas. This artwork is stretched and is ready to hang. It is signed by the artist on the back of the painting. This artwork does not require framing. Free delivery is available for those in the local Los Angeles area, and affordable worldwide shipping is available for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with the artwork, ensuring that the piece is an authentic work of art from Jonas Fisch. Born in a small fisherman's village in southern Sweden, contemporary artist Jonas Fisch discovered his love for drawing and painting at a young age and was inspired to pursue his passion by renowned artist and grandmother Ann-Marie Sjögren. Fisch reflects, “As a fundamentally introspective person, I have an explosive need to express and communicate my innermost rays, reflections, and shadows. The canvas, the brush, and the paint allow me to act out, throw up, confront, and examine those innermost feelings. Painting becomes my outlet. At a certain moment, each shape, stroke, and color suddenly takes over and the painting reveals itself. It becomes an expressive personal collaboration of art." Fisch's artworks have been exhibited across the United States, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. His paintings can be found in private collections worldwide. By Judy Rushin-Knopf

Located in New York, NY

This piece is from a new body of work called 'Vital Signs’ which will premiere at Ivy Brown Gallery in NYC springs from the domain of hospitals and illness through combinations of hand-woven and tufted textiles and minimalist box-like objects that hang on walls or embed in the textiles themselves. The textiles refer to items of worn clothing, flattened identity, and superstition that come with illness and extended hospital stays. Their dominant color is blue, a hue known to calm the nervous system, but also the color of a failing body (cyanosis). The black and white objects...

Sublime 2154 - Original Urban Landscape Photographic Collage Artwork
Sublime 2154 - Original Urban Landscape Photographic Collage Artwork

Sublime 2154 - Original Urban Landscape Photographic Collage Artwork

By Tae Ho Kang

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Inspired by the artists of the Modern Art era, including Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne, Kang visualizes the modern day search for identity in an age where information and images permeate every aspect of contemporary life. His architectural urban scenes are flattened, with everything pressed against the surface of the artwork. At times, multiple views of the same houses are visible, trees and bushes are vaguely alluded to, and the color palette finds a hectic balance. Just as a city operates in a balance of chaos and the sublime, so do the artworks of Kang. The Sublime is a euphoria that affects the deep recesses of one’s consciousness. As is this experience of the sublime, Kang's work is largely abstract. This large colorful artwork is 39 inches high by 59 inches wide. The sides of this textured, original mixed-media artwork are painted and it does not require framing. It is hand-signed and dated by the artist on front left corner. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and worldwide shipping also available. Provenance: Artspace Warehouse. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. He studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. He later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, his artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape. About his mixed media artworks, he remarks: “One day, when I was traveling, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines, and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave me a deep impression and great change began to take place in my work. I wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. I have to find a house of my heart to be molecule. Where is the house I live in? What is my identity? This question has begun to arise. I am on a long journey to find my own house.” His mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and in Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors, and American Housewife. His artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world. Water Tower Sculpture: 'Grey Dog'

Water Tower Sculpture: 'Grey Dog'

By Ethan Minsker

Located in New York, NY

The images on the water towers are from the artist sketchbook. It was also a part of a wheatpaste street art initiative from 2020. During the COVID lockdown he wanted to inject a little bit of nature back in downtown New York. Referencing not only wildlife in general but also specifically from the neighborhood. In this series you might find dogs or cats from artists he personally knows but you might find a raccoon that somehow invaded the city. Ethan Minsker's descriptors include writer, filmmaker, artist, publisher, and zine creator. His work chronicles the lifestyles and cultures of overlooked and underappreciated artists. He was a founding member of the Antagonist Art Movement, a New York City-based group of artists, writers, and musicians who promoted work by up-and-coming talent between 2000 and 2011. Ethan was the recipient of the Acker Award for Visual Arts in 2017. He was also the creator and editor-in-chief of Psycho Moto Zine, which has been in publication from 1988–present. He received his B.F.A. in Film with honors from the School of the Visual Arts and his masters in Media from the New School. Ethan has written three novels, produced nine feature films, and continues his relationship with under-served artists as a board member and president of Citizens for the Arts, a nonprofit group whose mission is to promote art for kids...

By Imani Bilal

Located in Brooklyn, NY

Imani Bilal is a contemporary abstract painter and poet based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her work is deeply inspired by the many states of the human condition and is rooted in her spiritual (Islamic) practices. As she explains, “I strive to convey the notion of Tawheed (oneness), the idea of primordial matter, chaos, and calm; of all things sharing a source and being connected to an infinite mound, inclusive of the human experience.” Her language is versatile and her approach, unconventional, working with acrylic, ink, and resin to articulate emotion and promote connectivity through color and movement. Bilal, who has been experimenting with paint since childhood, has developed a unique process of her own. She often paints while seated on the floor to pour her whole body into the composition, using her hands, mouth, and found objects to create an array of effects that become part of an intricate yet fluid work of art. Bilal’s first solo show in New York City, Fingerprints of Ruh (2020), curated by Nemo Librizzi, was met with enthusiasm and led to gallery representation by Chase Contemporary Gallery and recently, Mazlish Gallery...

By Eileen Braun

Located in New York, NY

During the COVID-19 lockdown, many faced swirling negative thoughts….. Atlanta sculptor, Eileen Braun, worked through the lockdown challenge and re-channeled that negative energy into her hands. As her hands cradled and examined the materials, her mind welcomed being in the moment and being grateful for what was. Those positive thoughts became her mantra while creating. Accepting change without judgement. On occasion, accepting the days that didn’t change, while the materials spoke anew. She explains that “the resulting forms display my interwoven emotions: quiet, complex, absorbed, relaxed, serious, playful, flirtatious, mothering, smothering and ultimately, joyful.” Her installation, OPEN SPACES: Espaces Ouverts, is a profusion of forms suspended in our two front facing plaza windows. As they float, sight lines...
