Her bespoke process begins with woven structures as her base. Each canvas starts with neutral toned materials that are then painted, dyed and sculpted into dimensional brushstrokes. She creates compositions through a series of twists, knots, and upcycled textiles. Baird’s background in dance and women's fashion allows her to dress the canvas with imagination. Atlanta-based artist, Tim Hunter’s work stems from his love of nature and concern for the environment. In 2003 he began working primarily with images of birds as an expression of his spiritual connection with nature. After reading an article about the declining bird populations in Georgia, he turned his focus to environmental issues. An avid bird watcher, Tim also experienced the heavily wooded area he grew up in, slowly reduced to shopping malls and subdivisions. He uses asphalt and cement to create his works which refer to the loss of habitat due to human expansion, which is one of the main causes of declining bird populations. His silhouettes are taken from Audubon’s series “Birds of America” which references a period in the past when the bird populations in America were more abundant. Tim received a BFA in printmaking from California College of Arts, Oakland, CA and an MFA in painting from Georgia State...

The Ragisména series, which in Greek means cracked, has its materiality manifested through the desire to recreate and make feelings, memories and mythology tangible in the physical world. The works have their core connected to Dehlos, a ruined island bathed by the Aegean Sea, created by Poseidon, so that Leto could have his children Apollo and Artemis in a protected land. Known for being a sacred place, Dehlos was the most important Panhellenic sanctuary almost 3 thousand years ago. In an equation between mythology and abstraction,
volumes, cracks, lights and shadows come together in matter. The Ragisména work in aluminum is the result of an artistic and artisanal process that dates back to antiquity, when people used fire to shape metal. Casting consists of heating the metal until it becomes liquid and then pouring it into a mold of the work. After cooling, the mold is removed and the piece is polished. In this way, the foundry immortalizes in matter the work conceived by the artist, giving life to his vision and expression
