A painting by Valerie Jaudon. "Palmyra" is an abstract, oil on canvas painting by Valerie Jaudon. Using just three colors of bright red and orange, interwoven lines on a black background, Jaudon employs crisp precision making the lines of color appear almost carved into canvas. "Palmyra" recalls gothic stonework, celtic interlace, islamic ornament, or calligraphy. Signed on the verso in the upper right, where the canvas is attached to the stretcher bar, "Valerie Jaudon '82."
