Gold Love No. 5 - Original Textured Geometric Pattern Vivid Heart Painting

By Cynthia Coulombe Bégin

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Coulombe-Bégin's dynamic acrylic on canvas works seek to produce a metamorphic interpretation of the artist's inner identity. Her paintings make ample use of contrasting colors to create exuberance and energy in her images. Inspired by street art, Coulombe Bégin 's paintings range from the abstract to the surreal and employ a variety of techniques and materials. Her contemporary artworks draw inspiration from body image, the universally recognizable symbol of hearts, and the experience of humankind. She brings a sensitivity to her work that stems from her exploration of identity and the joy and happiness of existence. Coulombe-Bégin draws us into her internal world: exploring the soul and matter, conscience, and the modern universe. This original painting depicting one heart painted...

Kawaii Portrait Painting with Emoji Eyes in Oval Ornate Yellow Frame

By Natasha Lelenco

Located in FISTERRA, ES

Kawaii portrait painting with emoji eyes and ornate oval frame exploring digital identity, self-performance and the visual language of contemporary communication. Yellow Emoji is a unique portrait painting by Natasha Lelenco from her ongoing You Are The One series, a body of work investigating how identity is constructed, stylized and consumed within contemporary image culture. The painting depicts a frontal female portrait rendered in saturated yellow tones and framed within an ornate oval structure painted in the same luminous color. The figure's most striking feature is her emoji-like eyes, which transform a traditional painted portrait into an image suspended between human presence and digital representation. These simplified symbols of emotion introduce the visual vocabulary of social media, messaging platforms and online communication into the language of contemporary portraiture. Throughout the You Are The One series, Lelenco explores the relationship between individuality and repetition. Faces appear simultaneously unique and standardized, echoing the ways identities are continuously performed, filtered and circulated through digital networks. In Yellow Emoji, the direct gaze, symmetrical composition and intense chromatic palette reinforce this tension between personal expression and visual coding. The ornate oval frame plays a fundamental role in the work. Referencing historical portrait traditions while being painted in an artificial monochromatic yellow, it creates a dialogue between classical representation and contemporary screen culture. The frame functions as a threshold between past and present, between the physical object and the endless flow of digital images. Executed with acrylic paint, spray paint and Posca markers on canvas, the work combines meticulous portrait painting with the graphic immediacy of contemporary visual culture. The result is a figurative portrait that operates simultaneously as painting, icon and reflection on the mechanisms through which identity is seen, shared and interpreted today. Part of Natasha Lelenco's broader investigation into digital identity, visual repetition and symbolic portraiture, this work is particularly suited for collectors interested in portrait painting, pop surrealism, digital culture, kawaii aesthetics and contemporary figurative art. Michael Tole is a figurative painter currently living in Tempe, AZ with his wife and daughters. A Texas native, most of his 20 year long career was spent in Dallas. Mr. Tole’s career includes shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, and Miami. His work has been reviewed in Art Forum International...

Artist Bio: Damien Hirst is a British Conceptual artist known for his controversial take on beauty and found-art objects. Along with Liam Gillick, Tracey Emin, and Sarah Lucas, Hirst was part of the Young British Artists movement that rose to prominence in the early 1990s. “I have always been aware that you have to get people listening before you can change their minds,” he reflected. “Any artist's big fear is being ignored, so if you get debate, that's great.” Born on June 7, 1965 in Bristol, United Kingdom, Hirst was raised in Leeds. As a student at Goldsmiths College in London, his work caught the eye of the collector and gallerist Charles Saatchi, who became an early patron. Hirst’s The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (1991)—a large vitrine containing an Australian tiger shark suspended in formaldehyde—was financed by Saatchi and helped to launch the artist’s career. Hirst went on to win the coveted Turner Prize in 1995. In 2012, he showed what went on to be one of his most controversial work in decades, the installation In and Out of Love, which consisted of two white windowless rooms in which over 9,000 butterflies flitted around and died. In 2015 Hirst opened the Newport Street Gallery in London, which grew from his long-term ambition to share his art collection with the public. The artist lives and works in London, United Kingdom. His works are held in the collections of the Tate Gallery in London, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., and the Rubell Family Collection in Miami.
