H.M. Saffer II, "Harvest Fields", Pointillist Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas
Located in Saratoga Springs, NY
Colorful landscape painting "Harvest Fields" by artist H.M. Saffer II. Painted in the style of pointillism, a series of tiny painted brushstrokes , this 44x44 oil landscape features tilled fields in vivid orange and yellow colors. In the distance is green fields and a cloud filled sky. About the artist: Born July 18, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, H.M. Saffer II launched his career by exhibiting his art at a public art show at the tender age of six. Upon graduation from Temple University in 1965, he traveled to Paris, France to enroll in graduate economics courses. Concurrently, HM's path took a different twist, as he soon leveraged his musical talent performing with notable French stars Hugues Aufray, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, and many others. He was later hired by Barclay Records as a producer, and had several hit records in 1968 and 1969. During this period, he was also the chef / owner of two restaurants in Paris, and later a third located in Ibiza, Spain. Remarkably, as engaged as he was, HM never stopped painting and exhibiting his works. Several of his shows - sponsored by his restaurants and music associates - "sold out" and were favorably written up by the press. Before returning to the United States in 1970, he completed selected studies at L'Ecole Des Beaux Arts and exhibited in Paris and Brussels, Belgium. HM continued on with his music career in the United States at Warner Brothers Productions where he co-wrote the international hit song, "Look What They Done To My Song, Ma", recorded by Ray Charles, Melanie and other performers. While at Warner he painted a forty foot mural in their Madison Ave., NY headquarters and exhibited his works in the firm's lobby. In 1972 HM was hired by the dynamic songwriter/producer Bob Crewe as Senior Vice President for the Crewe Group of companies where he worked with the industry's top names including Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Vicki Carr, and Oliver. Later that year, he established HMS Two Music Ltd. and spent his time writing and producing music for films, commercials, recordings and Broadway productions. HM's work in the commercial field is familiar to us all with creations for Pepsi, Mountain Dew...

Vintage Aladdin and The Lamp with Dragon and Cats
Located in Soquel, CA
A highly detailed India ink drawing with watercolor and Gouache. Each intricate circle and line is hand drawn to create a matrix within which the artist colors the scene to a fine realistic conclusion. Aladdin smiles at the Lantern that has given him his wishes, wealth and knowledge. Signed and dated "Ben Black 85" lower right. Image, 17"H x 27"L (portions of the work flow into the full mat length and width, which is: 20"H x 30"L). We have included a lower resolution image (#1) taken in subdued light to show the full range of colors we were unable to capture due to the extensive fine India ink designs throughout. Ben Black was born in Boston, he graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art 1947. He served in World War 2. He was an art director at one of Boston's leading advertising firms, later opened his own studio where his works were included in The New Yorker, Saturday Evening Post, Reader's Digest, establishing himself as a leading American Illustrator. He had many solo and group exhibitions throughout New England and his work is collected throughout the world. In this exquisite painting, Ren Hui celebrates the beauty of nature using a style that he calls “uncomplicated and honest.” Entitled "Wild Wood," this beautifully patterned composition was created using a method of modern pointillism, creating three-dimensional space within a two-dimensional canvas. Embracing the disorderly balance of the forest, the artist attempts to convey the complexities of the natural world by rendering the bough of an evergreen tree...

A Poitillist (Pointillism) Northern Landscape, 1913
Located in Stockholm, SE
Anders Loman (1879–1953) Sweden Northern Landscape, 1913 oil on canvas signed and dated And.Loman 1913 canvas dimensions framed 67.5 x 120 cm unframed 56.5 x 109 cm Essay: In the realm of early 20th-century Swedish art, Anders Loman may not have been the most widely recognized name, yet his talent is evident in this painting that echo both traditional Scandinavian motifs and avant-garde techniques. "Northern Landscape" from 1913 is a prime example of this juxtaposition. At first glance, the canvas is dominated by imposing evergreens in the foreground. Their detail is painstakingly rendered, providing a stark contrast to the background. Beyond these trees lies a tranquil lake and distant mountains, but it is here that Loman's boldness in technique is most apparent. Inspired by the Pointillism movement, the background is rendered using short brush strokes, with the waters shimmering in shades of pink and lilac, and the mountains painted...
