Back strips a touch age toned. Bookplates to front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound.

The arms were granted to in 1613 to Thomas BATEMAN of Wolfescote, Hartington Derbyshire. A later bookplate for Thomas BATEMAN of Middleton Hall (c1850), shows the same arms.
