A beautiful French patinated bronze sculpture of a study of the seated poet Sappho, signed J. Pradier, with Suisse Freres foundry mark, circa 1830 in date.

She is leaning against an ionic column signed and dated J. PRADIER 1848 and VP (for Victor Paillard) topped by a crown.

A beautiful French gilt bronze sculpture of a study of the seated poet Sappho, signed J. Pradier, with Suisse Freres foundry mark, circa 1830 in date.

Bronze has a dark brown patina. Singed "J. Pradier" on base. Measures: Height 12 inches.

Both are signed by "Moreau Ainé". The signature "J. Pradier" is on the "Sapho". The bronze manufacturer is Susse Frères (signed).

Important French 19th century garniture set, signed, "J. Pradier Suisse Foundry." The candelabrum depicts two-robed women.
