This 8.75" beaded stretch bracelet is composed of the most stunning and unique hand-carved jadeite jade beads from Guatemala. With an inner diameter of approximately 69mm unstretched, this will those with fit medium, large and XL hands and wrists. As long as your hand is larger than 69mm measured from knuckle to knuckle, it won't slide off your wrist. The bracelet is composed entirely of 28 hand-carved and hand-polished natural and untreated jadeite jade beads from Guatemala and they vary widely in both size and shape. From a 10mm x 8mm cylindrical black jade bead to an 8.15mm almost perfectly round deep emerald-green bead. Two beads are in the 16mm range and several of them have a "primitive" cut, much like the beads the ancient Mayan's would have worn. The tones here are spectacular. From a lush jungle green to the iconic bluish-green only found in Guatemala. There is yellowish green, pale mint green, teal, and emerald. Even the large opaque beads possess a luminous quality. And the translucent beads are just captivating. Three solid 18K gold 5mm beads and one thick, 11mm hand-hammered 18K gold ring complete the bracelet. It weighs a hefty 55 grams, so it's deeply satisfying on the wrist. As a second-generation jade collector, the unique jade from Guatemala has become my favorite variety of jade; my favorite gem. This 7" beaded stretch bracelet will fit small to medium hands and wrists and is composed of 28 hand-carved and hand-polished natural and untreated jadeite jade beads from Guatemala. The beads are an almost aquamarine bluish-green, and alternate between 8mm rondelle-shaped beads and round oness. All of the beads are highly translucent; almost watery. It's a tricky color to capture accurately in the studio, so I've included images taken with my phone outside in natural light and inside near a window. Seven 2.5mm wide handmade sterling silver beads are stationed along the bracelet and an 8.5mm cylindrical bead serves as a focal point. This bracelet is highly translucent and luminous. The pictures describe the tones better than I can. Jadeite has a unique crystal structure that causes it to process light in a completely unique way, with the result being luxurious luminosity, even in the dimmest light. This gorgeous 8.5" beaded stretch bracelet is composed of 21 luminous, 10mm, pale lavender natural and untreated jadeite jade beads from Guatemala. The polish on these beads is softer than it could be -jadeite is a hard stone that can shine like a grand piano. But here, the lapidary artists chose not to take the polish so high. In my opinion, this was the perfect choice because it alters the way the lavender beads hold onto light. These beads are opaque -far from translucent. And yet. Somehow, they glow. They truly do. This 11" long "Planetary Bodies" bracelet features 8 natural and untreated jadeite jade beads from Guatemala in a distinctive bluish-green color. I refer to it is a planetary bodies bracelet because the size and scale of the beads reflect our own solar system. While the beads are opaque, they remain translucent and interact beautifully with light. The beads range in size from 7.18mm to 19.86mm. This large focal point bead us embellished with a pair of small (3.22mm) but solid 18K yellow gold beads. The beads are strung on tantalum. Mic drop. Did you hear it land on the floor? No? Well, maybe that's because you aren't up-to-to-date on your tantalum trivia. Tantalum is the rarest metal on earth. Well, the rarest stable metal. Francium is technically the rarest metal but it only exists briefly and is radioactive and cannot be " isolated in visible, weighable amounts" (Encyclopedia Britanica), making it unsuitable for use in jewelry. Tantalum is rarer than gold, platinum and every other metal you can think of. It' has a lustrous, grayish-blue appearance, a melting point so high that if your tantalum bracelet slipped off your hand and into a running river of lava, you could fish it out and it would be fine. It's denser than lead. It is also highly resistant to corrosion and is immune to attack by aqua regia -a horrid mixture of corrosive acids known for its ability to dissolve noble metals like platinum and gold. Tantalum is hypoallergenic. The distinctive color of tantalum also happens to be the perfect color to compliment these unique-in-the-world-of-jadeite beads. About the size. Although it's 11" in length when open and hanging, the size of the beads - 7.18mm, 12.46mm, 17.12mm, 12.63mm, 19.86, 14mm, 12.64mm, 10.18mm) creates an inner diameter of approximately 79mm when closed. This is the size of an XL men's jade bangle. I have an 8" wrist and you can see in the photos how the bangle drapes but won't fall off my hand. If you are an individual with a wrist larger than 8" and large hands, this bracelet will feel made for you. If you have small or medium-sized hands, (smaller than about 77mm) measured from knuckle to knuckle) the bracelet will slide off. Like most of the pieces in my beaded jade bracelet collections, there is no lab certification included for the jade. This saves money and helps me keep the price down but does require a leap of faith on your end. I created this jadeite jade bead bangle with heavy gauge Ohio steel that I hand-worked into shape. This open bangle is worn by sliding your wrist through the bangle's narrow opening. Then you slide the "S" through the loop. It measures 9" in length but the beads add thickness making it wear more like an 8.5" bracelet. It can fit many different wrist sizes. As long as your hand measures more than 70mm from knuckle to knuckle, it won't slide off your hand. But an individual with a large to extra-large hand and wrist will probably find this bangle most comfortable. You can wear it alone or stacked with others. Twenty-six hand-carved beads move freely along the steel. These are untreated hand-cut and polished beads in a variety of green and greenish-gray tones. The beads range in size from 6.40mm to 8.24 and they average 8mm. A 7.6mm gold ring serves as a slender focal point. The aroma is a result when a particular species of tree native to Asia becomes infected with a particular bacteria. The longer and more intense the infection, the greater the smell. These are not antique beads, so their aroma is extremely subtle. A 12.45mm Guatemalan jadeite bead serves as the focal point and a pair of small (4.29mm) 18K yellow gold rings serve as bookends on either side.
