The male figural plaster lamp and original hand woven cotton shade are in good vintage condition. The Continental Lamp Co. produced and wide variety of styles during the mid 20th century and lamps by the company have become quite collectible. This mid-century Saxon crusader Robin Hood wood nymph themed chalk-ware figural table lamp. Continental Art Lamp Company was a Chicago based manufacturer located on the famous Division Street. The owners were John Matanky, the son of Russian immigrants, and three Italian nationals. Plaster lamps were made from molds of sculptures by Italian designers.
