An English set of three (3) cobalt‑blue and off‑white ironstone soup plates, in a Chinoiserie landscape pattern, by W. T. Copeland & Son, Stoke‑Pon‑Trent, England, circa late 19th century (1875–1890). These pieces are traditionally known as soup plates and are also referred to as deep plates — ideal for soup, pasta, salad, etc. Each plate features a crisp cobalt design depicting pagodas, bridges, birds, and trees, framed by a scalloped rim with a geometric border. The design is part of the classic Willow‑style family of English blue‑and‑white Chinoiserie patterns inspired by Chinese export porcelain. All three are marked on the reverse with W. T.
