Cornelius Anton Bartels Art

American, Dutch, 1890-1976

Cornelius Anton Bartels was a teacher and realist painter. In the 1930's, he moved to Iowa where, in 1950, he was appointed artist-in-residence at Central College. Bartels was a member of the art association Malkasten in Düsseldorf.
