Ellindur Egilstrøð is a painter, based in the Faroe Islands; born in 1960, his captivating works capture the mystique of the landscapes that he grew up in. A rugged wildness exudes from his work, where paint and canvas illude to a mystery of the vast ocean, grassland and valleys of the beautiful island. Ellindur captures the beautiful simplicity of nature and offers a calming retreat for the soul with his bewitching, relaxed and folky visuals.
